Omega is a very singular and intense abstract painting that really carries the definition of light and dark into new areas of expression

Such contrasts between black and white are captured beautifully in some very solid and flowing forms. I have taken great care to practice this drip and pour principle before painting Omega. The ability to mix a certain viscosity of paint to another and have them interact with each other in different ways at the same time takes an incredible amount of finesse and fine tuning. Even a slight variation can result in disaster. I have taken care over distances between lines, thicknesses of paint and the rate at which lines and shapes were allowed to spread.

Omega is as much about control as it is about freedom. Like the black and white – this painting is a juxtaposition of opposites. One of the great aspects of this painting is its ability to promote shapes and forms as you look at it. There is just the merest hint of figuration to help you appreciate the lines and shapes.

Omega is ready to hang and can be positioned in either orientation.
